Pheromones from dead bodies?

I'm new to the phero world, and I was wondering if they are extracted from pigs or dead bodies. Ive been to the pherotalk forum and someone posted that their products are all synthetic. Anyone know for sure?

It definitely wouldn't be legal to sell extracts of dead humans! It might be possible to extract certain mones from pigs or something, but it's probably simpler to just make them synthetically in a lab. I'm pretty sure that's how all the mones you'll find are produced.

I like to imagine that pheromone labs are like the Fairy Godmother's Potion Factory (Shrek 2)....*giggle snort
