I often find myself confused as to what is what with beta androsterone, alpha androsterone, androsterone (just by itself), epi-androsterone, etc. I even heard there are 2 types of epi-androsterone somewhere... something to do with a 3 vs having a 5.

So if more knowledgeable members would be so kind... I'd like to know some of the differences, because I'm pretty sure some of these are just different names for the same thing.

And more important to me on a personal level: what is the androsterone that androtics direct uses, and what is the androsterone that you get when you just buy the molecule in ethanol from love scent? Those are the only 2 I've used so far. I would think it would just be a mixture of alpha and beta if they don't specify, but idk.

I'm looking to buy whatever I don't have and haven't tried either at True peheromones or alpha dream.

I was going to bump this earlier. However, not only were many of my questions answered on another couple threads here at pherotruth, but I found this over at hacking the hive.

I think this has a lot of potential to clear up confusion and simplify things. Figured I'd just post a link here in case this thread got turned up in a search in the future.
