I've heard that Crash smells like Green Irish Tweed. Personally, I doubt it's any closer than Cool Water - as with CW, the ingredient profile is completely different!

You could just say you had a friend mix it up for you, or you mixed it up yourself and it doesn't have a name. That seems a whole lot easier, especially if you happen to run into a fragrance connoisseur who can tell the difference.

Or you could just say it's a knockoff of one of those scents. Either one is fine.

Arc is said to be like Wolf scent. I'm not sure I agree, but I don't understand half the assocations people will make.

Pulse has been compared to Bad Wolf scent I believe. So anything that's been said to be like these two LAL scents can be passed off to the corresponding Apex scents.

Afraid that's not a good enough excuse when you live with someone! My SO is an enquiring young woman.

I'd definitely use the knock off angle (because she knows I sometimes buy knock offs) but then I still need a regular cologne to claim that I've got the knock off version of.

Usually I buy unscented and cover with one of my regular scents, but it saves some hassle to have a pre-mix.

Crash only passingly resembles Coolwater. I get color senses from scents and Coolwater is a mid-blue, whereas Crash is a dark blue. I will however, compare it to my Green Irish Tweed knock off when I get the chance.

Mid-blue is about right for Cool Water. Have you smelled real GIT? It's about two shades lighter than mid-green to my nose in the middle. The top is lighter, almost a yellow-ish green. The base comes off more as a cross between mid-green and tan. It's a much more complex scent than Cool Water, which has almost no development.

About to place an order. Fury or arc scent for all around versatility?

Fury. Haven't ordered in Arc yet, but Fury has the projection, but isn't as strong of a smell. So you can cover it with something else if you really want to.

Say you got it online from Apex on the recommendation of a friend. If she asks what Apex is, tell her they make colognes. If she researches the site and asks about pheromones, tell her that they're scent molecules derived from human pheromones that are supposed to improve people's moods and improve social connections. The truth couldn't hurt if that's what you believe.

As for the topic.

Anyone tried a variety of Apex scents with neroli from Androtics? Which one goes best with that scent?

Fury, by far.
I've used most of their scents with Neroli from Androtics. It's very easy to cover and nothing seems to conflict.

I first got the early batch of Core in Fury scent. It was quite strong and stung my eyes. My second Core order and Dionysos also came in Fury, but the scent was not as strong and was more comfortable for me. Projection and silage are good, and the smell lasts the whole day.

Arc is also a great scent, and I'm looking for a matching commercial scent for it to increase projection.

LAL:
Nude Alpha, Hypnotica Social, Aqua Vitae, Wolf, LAL Androstadienone, Overdose, Lucky 7 (sample)

PheromoneXS:
AscendXS, CohesionXS spray and oil, EvolveXS, ExoticaXS, ConnectionsXS, BlissXS (sample), VibeXS (sample), AscendXS oil (sample), FlirtXS (sample). XS99 Beta (Mascot), XS100 Beta (Celebrity), XiSt, 106B (KimbaXS), APi (sample), XS111 Beta Love Boat, XS112 Beta CrushXS, TabooXS

Apex Pheromones:
Core Fury, Imprint, Dionysos Fury, Core V2 Arc, Praetoria Arc, Cutlass (sample)

"Will you walk into my parlour?" said the spider to the fly.

Pheromones won't work if you keep thinking that they don't work.

Following a post in the main Method 3X review thread, I'll update my scent table. As a reminder, I'm not endorsing these scent comparisons myself, this is just a list of what mainstream commercial scents that others have mentioned that Apex scents smell like.

- Fury ~ Fierce, Abercrombie & Fitch
- Crash ~ Curve, Liz Claibourne
- Pulse ~ One, Calvin Klein
- Arc ~ Homme Intense, Dior (but slightly less intense)
- Gold ~ ?
- Silver ~ ?

I've got a sample of Titan in fuse and I definitely dig it. Got cv4 in fury and imprint in its classic scent.
