The thread is not gone, its been pulled into moderation, because of an issue that arose with another vendor. It will be restored once I hear back from Chris and we can resolve the matter.

There's a difference between censoring just to censor, and pulling posts when if an issue or dispute arises, until things can be cleared up.

Every forum need guidelines and regulations.
You cant just say whatever you want about anyone you want.
And of course there are laws about this as well.

Thanks Pheroman! We kind of had a policy that we wouldn't allow pheromone suppliers on the forum, to insure that postings weren't biased and that suppliers wouldn't use the forum for self promotion, but slackened up on that policy, thinking that it would be OK to let them introduce themselves and respond to questions about their products.

It may be time to rethink that policy.

They should also be part of the discussion if they have value to add.

I as well saw the post that is now taken down... and i'll just say its not taken down to stop anyone from bashing a company or product cuz thats completely allowed on pherotruth... it was more of a personal argument that was taken out of hand that just so happened to relate to pheromones (sorta). I for one completely understand why that type of thread would be pulled into moderation.

You are correct bondzz and thank you for your understanding. It wasn't really a personal argument though, more of claims that were made which may have been incorrect, and were causing problems between vendors, as well as with their customers.

When I can speak with both parties and get the issue resolved, which will probably require that they agree to edit out incorrect statments or claims, the thread will be reposted.

And, I think we'll also have to create a new policy for vendors that join the forum, allowing them to enter into discussions concerning their company or products and answer any questions, but preventing them from entering into discussions about other companies and products.
