I agree on the [I can alter due to mood, of course due to mood + alcohol or drug and then work. ] stuff. This is how I see Pheromones playing a role. they can act to stimulate or suppress brain function, sometimes directly, sometimes indirectly. Understanding what they stimulate or suppress becomes easier when you look at it thru the lens of MBTI.

Have you seen the book "Functions of Type" by Hartzler? It really was eye opening for me to see the different JCP's as isolated groups.

I have not read that book yet, allot of my experiences have been through work in attempting to understand how to better connect or manage people. One interesting book is "The art of speed reading people" which uses the Myers Briggs model and may be up your alley where it focuses on how to quickly identify and adjust your approach based on your personality conclusion

Yes, I like the book "The art of speed reading people" by Tieger and Tieger. They have a few good books on MBTI that are worth mentioning.

Quote:The Art of SpeedReading People: How to Size People Up and Speak Their Language Paul D. Tieger and Barbara Barron-Tieger

Just Your Type: Create the Relationship You've Always Wanted Using the Secrets of Personality Type Paul D. Tieger and Barbara Barron-Tieger

Please Understand Me II: Temperament, Character, Intelligence Dr. David West Keirsey

Neuroscience of Personality: Brain Savvy Insights for All Types of People Dario Nardi, PhD

Functions of Type: Activities for Developing the Eight Jungian Functions Gary Hartzler and Margaret Hartzler

Was That Really Me?: How Everyday Stress Brings Out Our Hidden Personality Naomi L. Quenk, Ph.D.

Survival Games Personalities Play Dr. Eve Delunas

Also besides working with people, it helps understand who I am, by being able to learn about patterns and processes that underly the MBTI and how to notice when I am using that pattern or process. And then... how to stop doing it if it's detrimental.
