Nothing wrong with mineral water, for me I just hate dealing with all the bottles. A lot more convenient to fill up a few 5 gal jugs once a week than buy cases of tiny bottles. And there is the added bonus of having instantly chilled or boiled water out of the water dispenser.

Second nothing. RO and distilled remove all the minerals...thats the issue.

What do you guys add to your filtered water? Minerals?

Distilling or using RO is to remove the fluoride that carbon filters cannot remove. The other things you'd be removing include lead from old city pipes, chlorine used to treat water at the water treatment plants or chloramine which does the same thing but evaporates much slower, arsenic and heavy metals.

You want minerals in your water there are a lot of other things you do not. By stripping it down to pure distilled water you can know exactly what is going back in to it, which is what they do when they bottle water or make soda pop to standardize the flavor regardless of where it was bottled.

You could go with well water but then you will more than likely deal with a water softer and again have to alter the water. What we need to do is find what chemicals minerals and what not effect you and adjust according to that. Completely cutting them all out is one extreme and leaving them all in there is another. The water in my city makes its residents sick most of the people here drink soda or bottled water as a fix to the tap water. I meet a man once who made regular trips up into the mountains to get real from the spring water.

A teaspoonful of diatomaceous earth added to distilled/RO water is said to contain all the minerals that you need in a day. I just use eOrmus Alkaline Water.

Thanks Kimo... I've used diatomacous earth as a pest repellent before. Had to google that for human use. Good stuff! Thanks man!

Do you think ormus is enough minerals? I wasn't taking it when I was drinking RO water...or any supplement for that matter.

Yeah, sad huh? Drinking soda because they have to carry it home just like water. Thats how Arizona is, where I grew up and where I'm moving back to. Finding great water is a struggle and really expensive. Keep in mind a good RO machine has a 2:1 waste ratio.

I used to live in Cali and there was a tap at the top of the mountain on the highway to my house. I used to watch people just line up for this water. After six or so months I stopped to try it. F'ing delicious. If I could only have an artisan well on my property...oh, and a mineral hot spring, that would be great.

According to the website the 8oz bottle for $26 makes a gallon. I drink a gallon a day, easy. Do you dilute at the same rate?

ORMUS is primarily m-state. It has mineral content but I don't know how much. Best to supplement with minerals from other sources, and your body will take what it needs and let the rest exit your system.

Remember to buy pure food grade diatomaceous earth - a 50lb bag would save you tons in the long run.

I mix 3 tablespoons into 1.5 litres of distilled water, so that works out to a tablespoon per 500ml of H2O. I bought the 32oz bottle @ US$39.95, and that would last a month at my dosage. Almost done with my existing bottle, and should finish in time for the new bottle to arrive, hopefully.

Conversion from metric to US-gallon would be 3784ml per gallon, so that works out to approximately 7.5 tablespoons per gallon of water at my dosage.

Each 32oz bottle serves up approximately 90 tablespoons of eOrmus, so at 7.5 tablespoons per day, you'd go through the 32oz bottle in 12 days, and the 8oz bottle in just 3 days!

At that rate, you'd be much better off buying a gallon of eOrmus Alkaline Water @ $69.95, since it works out more cost-effective per dose, dollar-wise. This would last you 48 days at my dosage.

Mixing 8oz of eOrmus into 1 gallon of water would work out too salty and unpalatable for my taste.

You're at half the rate they have on the website. When I'm done with this little bottle and get settled into my new home Ill figure out what I want to do... anything other than drink from the tap!
