Stress can effectively block testosterone production and all the downstream metabolites drop through the floor. High levels of stress can even block sperm production. So, stress can make a guy pheromonally insignificant to females, and that is a good thing in terms of reproduction and evolution. Stressed out guys are not sexy!
On the other hand, when guys are at ease and pretty stress free, they produce and excrete more of the calming male pheromones: Alpha Androstenol, Androsterone, and Etiocholanolone, and they are just more pheromonally attractive to be around.

Scent of Eros for men counteracts the presence of stress-associated hormone metabolites. That's how to help establish male dominance in a competitive social environment, or signal strength and confidence to a particular woman.

True... and hopefully Scent of Eros also has some self-effects of lowering stress in the wearer (it should)... stressed out behavior will give a weird signal even if the pheromone signature is right.

Knowing that I am projecting the dominant signal lessens my stress in any social situation.
