They just came out with the April fragrances, they all sound yummy! Look them over and get a couple of those, thats what I'd do!

ok, made the order and now I'm awaiting it anxiously. I know it says to allow 2 weeks for delivery, but how long does it take on average if everything is in stock and you didn't order any special mixes?

omg! Completely unbelievable service! I placed the order late at night on Tuesday so they probably got around to it on Wednesday morning and on Saturday my order was already sitting in my mailbox! Besides getting my 2 free samples for posting on their forums I got 6 smaller samples (.5ml)!

Can't say that I'm too crazy about the scents of BAM, but they are tolerable... Haven't tried wearing them all yet, so for now I'm just ruling out Spicy Brown sugar scent since it bothered me and smelled bad to me when I wore it. Pink Amber was decent and We'll have to see about the others.

I ordered spontaneous combustion as one of my free samples and I really like the smell, but if I were to order it with Pheromones, would that mess up the scent?

Mara's Love Potions really are magickal, even without pheromones. She's a class act, bar none, and a wiz at pulling fragrances together in a way that never ceases to amaze and delight the senses! Pretty soon you won't be able to hold back telling us about them! :wink2:

Adding pheromones usually changes the scent. Remember just because some of them are available "unscented" doesn't mean they don't have a scent. Some of 'em smell like feet, pits, and butt!

I've added pheromones to perfume and depending on what it was, that would determine how good the end result was. If you're doing it yourself you have to be careful about diluting the pheromones too much. And that could happen if they stink too much and your trying to cover them up. It's a sticky wicket.

I've added Essence of Woman to perfumes and believe it or not, it enhanced and improved the smell. The right perfume/cologne can cover the stench of most pheromones.

The exception to that, at least for me, is oil based Essence of Woman . I think it's kinda rank and hard to cover. Maybe that's why you're not diggin the BAM so much.

Elena - I find that adding some Pheromones "lightens" the scent a bit, as in makes it a bit less thick and oily, but doesn't change the overall fragrance much USUALLY. I don't notice Cougar, Heart&Soul, Open Windows or Lace AT ALL in my perfumes. Like A Magnet (Magnet it's called on the add-in list) will have a slightly cop-y odor when wet. Hmm....actually Magnet would probably be good with Spontaneous Combustion - I'm wearing it right now.

Notable exceptions: Blatant Invitation, cops and BAM. Those smell quite distinctly and will "accent" certain fragrances better than others. Best policy is to call and ask if you are in doubt. Generally, the sheer bubblegummy types won't meld well with BI...but oddly enough some florals will. And of course honey, or the heavy foodies do really well covering anything.

Some people will beg to differ on the BAM, but I have never smelled anything with the Beta Androstenol & cops in it that wasn't very obviously phero-scented, if you get my meaning. I just can't deal with BAM.

I don't know... with BAM samples that I got I smell 2 distinct scents... I smell something that is not very pleasant (my guess its cops) and I smell the fragrance, but they're kind of separate from each other and stand out each on their own.

I was thinking of wearing Sandalwood and Resins BAM and wearing a bit of Spontaneous Combustion on top. I guess I'm just going to have to experiment a bit with it.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knew if they have a fragrance that smells similar to sandalwood incense? I have this lotion that I randomly got at some discount store and I'm in love with the scent and can't find it anywhere (out of stock even online). And it smells like nag champa or sandalwood incense so I was thinking of getting something similar to that. Spontaneous Combustion is kind of going in that direction, but minus the cinnamon I think.

Here's a little tip: if you have some oil-based Essence of Woman that you don't have a use for, try adding it directly to an oil-based perfume. It actually mixes better into the oil-based scents than the regular Essence of Woman , and in most cases, I find that it doesn't "bloom" quite as loudly.
