Until you announce your testers there ain't really anything for us to do!

And, getting reports from 2/3 of the testers is unacceptable! All testers should be expected to commit and report on each of the molecules received!

I don't think there's any member here that would be willing accept being paid for only 2/3 of their work, and it's quite a bit of work for us in setting up reporting forums for each blind tester, configuring the forum permissions, setting up usergroups and permissions for each blind forum, placing the teters in those usergoups and again changing their permissions.

If 1/3 of the time we spend setting everything up turns out to be for nothing, it will probably be the last blind testing we do on the forum.

The last time around we had 5 testers, but 2 of them pulled out after receiving the molecules and sent them to other members so we had to go back and setup everything for 2 new people, then a third wrote one report on one molecule then blew the whole thing off.

We ended up getting reports from 4 of 7 testers that had promised to participate, which means that just under 1/2 the time and effort that went in to making the blind testing happen was for nothing.

p.s. For future testing, if it's helpful, I could set up a moodle installation on one of my servers that could help with blind testing. They're pretty configurable.

Here is the updated master list of compounds which have been selected for evaluation. The compounds involved with this first round of testing will include those among this list that I believe to be most valuable.



Two compounds have been preselected to be included:

20-(5beta)-Pregnen-3-Alpha-ol (Derivative of ER303).

1,3,5(10)-estratrien-16,17beta-epoxy-estratrienol (This is an old one from the love scent days, which was very interesting but never tested properly). Also known as EpoxyEstratrienol.

Three other randoms..

The first samples will be shipping out in a few days.

I got mad at one of my guys at work, because I told him "Here is your job, just keep running at that wall full speed." And he said that he wasn't going to do it. He didn't want to put effort into something if in the end, we were going to use another method and his effort would be wasted. I told him to "Be a good soldier, and just keep running at the wall." Well, he isn't working for me anymore.

I think that testing these molecules will be like that. Just keep running at the wall, recording all the pertinent details about yourself, environment, and others that you can. And in the end, ONLY AFTER the results are in, we can combine results and see what was common between different testers.

It may turn out that some molecules have no real effect, and our efforts were just running into a wall with nothing to show for it. But Just keep running at the wall.

So there are all the compounds to be evaluated... All 31 of them (with one more on the way) in total. Most of them will be eliminated, however I can tell already that there will be a few true gems hidden in here...

I've chosen 6 compounds for this first blind test, and have made concentrates from them. I'm going to dilute them to 5 mcg per drop, just like the single molecules I offer.

I'm going to start sending these out on Tuesday. Someone outside of the testing group will get a surprise delivery next week.

From what Ive seen tonight while working on this: I think this blind test will be very interesting indeed.

One had an instantaneous effect -- I felt the "presence" of a human being with this compound.

Awesome. Yeah, a coworker described that kind of effect once without knowing I was using pheromones. She said she was in the elevator alone and didn't believe in ghosts but insisted that another person was in the elevator... I must have rubbed off on a rail or something.
