Basically designed to be different rates of diffusion. There are a few members who were Beta testers of the trial versions of the fast burn Glace's. Halo and Eyeofra were 2 of the testers. They could answer that question more completely than I.

Some background; oil based mones last much longer than quick-diffusing alcohol-based mones however they require about 10x as much mones to make an equivalent dose because they evaporate more slowly.

And alcohol based mones typically contain a fixative which slows the diffusion down a bit.

In the past, all Alpha Dream products were a unique dimethicone base, which was like an oil base in terms of being slow-diffusing. Recently, Chris released two new versions of Glace in alcohol + Dipropylene glycol and light silicone which diffuse more rapidly and exhaust themselves more quickly. They seem to be pretty popular. Colder weather definitely requires faster-diffusing mones (so others have said. )

Warmer weather allows for slower diffusing mones, but I still prefer the faster diffusing stuff myself, in part pecaues it does exhaust itself after a time and in part because regularly restoring a mix every two hours helps keep the mix more balanced.

Also, I think the newer versions had some other alterations but I'm not familiar with the specifics.
