Affordable care act my ass. It stopped being affordable once they let the insurance companies on the negotiations. We need new leadership on all sides working towards real moderate healthcare reform. These idiots had their day.

A sensible position out of this thread at last.

The public option would have solved many of the problems with the ACA - but you're right, they let the insurance conglomerates into the negotiations, and they axed the public option (get this) because it would compete with their own operations. How's that for fucked up.

Americans against competition! We'd rather be a corporate slave state than a slightly healthier but slightly more socialist state.

I'll stop. Honestly, on forums like these I can't talk politics. You guys might be the most knowledgeable people in the world when it comes to pheromones (or not) but I won't debate politics with people who still believe that the president wasn't born in the country. That's so far to the right of ad hominem it's fascist. May as well tell the Jews to go back to Israel, or the blacks to return to Africa.

Xenophobic, jingoist, fear-mongering, that's all.

Topics on Politics on this forum always go Sour fast.

There have been a bunch of crazy things said but its not worth it to argue line by line.

This is my personal pet peeve I hate it when people talk about government spending because inflation is a big deal and that never seems to make it into the argument. The purchasing power of $10 today compared to the $10 of 1985 is a huge difference on the micro its going to make a huge difference on the macro level with the money that the government has spent.

Fear is the greatest obstacle to learning. But fear is your best friend. Fear is like fire, if you learn to control it, you let it work for you: it can warm you in the winter, give you light when you are in the dark, and produce energy. If you don’t control it, it’ll destroy you and everything around you.You must understand Fear so you can manipulate it, because if you don’t you won’t be able to achieve your objective or save your life. - Cus D'Amato (The trainer that made Mike Tyson a Champion)

Everybody's got an opinion on politics which is the same as if everybody would have an opinion on the theory of relativity.

It's ridiculous, when even economics professors and financial experts very often totally differ of opinion when it comes to solving the problem.

To me, bringing politics into this forum is a bad idea.

Another reason why I find it not a good idea is because when debating politics before you know it there are insults thrown back and forth...

and this is what I read in the forum policies:

http://pherotruth.org/Thread-Member-Posting-Policy

Quote:PheroTruth is an open and uncensored forum, where members are free to discuss and report on anything they want, as long as its legal and doesn't hurt or offend anybody. ...

The only cause for censorship in this forum is making slanderous, liable or derogatory statements toward ANY individual, and abusive or offensive behavior. This will result in the thread or post being deleted and the offending member receiving a warning, or in severe cases being outright banned from the forum.

In the meantime, if you guys and gals want to deconstruct something, perhaps here's some food for thought...:
