So, as one who has had moderate success with online dating, I wanted to open a discussion around it. How it "works," should you even utilize it, personal experience, etc.

My hypothesis, thesis, whatever...is that the pool of women available on dating websites is not optimal, in terms of diversity and quality. If women have a filtering mechanism, why do they choose online dating? An overwhelming number of profiles complain about the quality of men "out there," isn't this indicative of a poor filtering mechanism. She (average frustrated bitch, as opposed to average frustrated chump) keeps choosing unsatisfactory men both off and online. Either she has a very poor filtering mechanism or she's got issues.

Of course there are exceptions..outliers. Due to "legitimate" circumstances unbeknownst to us, she joins. Some looking for husbands, on more serious ($) sites like match or eharmony, others more for relationships on okcupid and plentyoffish. Some, joining strictly for attention. Some, maybe strictly out of curiosity.

So, highly attractive women, under this hypothesis, become highly suspicious. Highly attractive women would have more suitors leading to more experience leading to better filter. I mean physical attractiveness, by the way.

I don't know about you, but I undertake transforming my life to live more fully, not just to bang hot chicks. I actually find hot, shallow women very unattractive. To me, a hot woman has it going on in almost every category of life...the way I aspire to do the same in my life. Still, I feel there is a place I haven't seen. The pool of hot, available women I have yet to swim. And I don't believe online dating is an optimal place to look for that.

Almost all my online dating experience has been short-term relationships and one night stands. I do believe "decent" people are meeting and forging long-term relationships lol. But I've never been a pure beta. Even on my most beta day, I had the belief that I'm improving and deserve the very best. I don't think I could go back to online dating, unless I was just looking for decent coochie.
