So, if androstenone smells like cat urine to people that can detect it, what would other mones smell like? Do they all smell like cat urine?

would androsterone smell like urine also?
androstadienone?
androstenol? ... would smell like B.O?
DHEAS?

since androstenone would require a cover scent, are there more safer mones you can get away with with a light cover as i'm not a big fan of showering myself in cologne.

When I spray on a pheromone under my shirt....It gets on my shirt...My only point is that the cats associate it with Pee/Poop until I made an adjustment.

I usually check the cat pupils to see if the mones are off...They are very mone sensitive.

sorry ... I read it as when people complain about a urine smell, you tell them your cats pee in your hamper.

I've had one experience so far wearing Xist and NA where I felt that my one scent was detected and translated to a girl feeling nauseous. I use Gucci Guilty or a Creed Aventus imitation cover scent and they seem to do the job in masking the mones. Who know... Maybe people around me can smell it and are too nice to say something. I've told myself not to worry about it anymore since the pros outweigh the cons.

I'm reviving this thread because it happened again yesterday night -_-
I stopped wearing pheromones for a long time; pretty much due to this "pheromone phobia". Since 1-2 girls in my group can smell the real smell of pheromones, i only wear regular colognes or LPMP products that do not contain pheromones when I'm around them.
Yesterday, however, I was going to Sarbucks and I decided to wear Glace in L&S and 2 inches of Mark's Girl Nip; hoping to see the girl I talked to during my last visit. For those who do not know, MGP contains Perfect Match pheromone formula and its main scent is chocolaty. Nobody was sitting on the table beside me. I went to the washroom. When I came back, I saw a girl sitting on that table, checking her phone. As soon as I passed her to go to my table (I passed behind her), she automatically smelled her armpit! It felt more like an instinct gesture on her part (as in "sweat smell!! Is it me?") and she went back to her phone.
She didn't look at me...she was pretty much glued to her phone. Luckily, I was leaving and I made a detour so I don't pass her again. This sucks!

Glace: 1 spray on adam's apple
MGN: 1 inch. on left neck, 1 inch on right neck.

Why do I feel I'm the person who is experiencing this the most around here?

Age: 29 years old (helpful if reading my journal)

I'm massively paranoid about the pheromone stink especially because I can't smell pheromones. So often I wonder how badly I stink.

When using really smelly products I make sure to wear a fragrance that is rated as long lasting with heavy sillage. This website has users vote on the sillage and how long lasting the fragrance is: https://www.fragrantica.com. The problem is that these characteristics can change if a fragrance is reformulated.

Edit:
Last year I sent John at Pheromone Treasures an email and he told me that Swoon is not very heavy in some of the stinky molecules. So that might be a good product to try for people paranoid about pheromone stink.

WARNING: Spam post to follow

I had that problem also until recently. I tried a bottle of Oxytocin that I purchased on Ebay. I was not a mass produced product but a compounded product made by the medical school I believe. It was in a dark blue glass bottle and had a red keep out of reach of children warning label on it. This stuff does not stink like the others and drives women crazy. I just used two sprays and had 3 girls 20-30 years my junior talking to me all night. It was actually kind of scary. I hooked up with one of them for a couple of nights. Also I wore it to the home opener football game and two ladies actually asked me for my number. I am 60 years old but am in shape. I don't think that I am unattractive but still I am old enough to be their dads. Just hope none of them invites me over to meet mom and dad. Must say that I felt pretty proud that I still can keep up. This stuff smells great. It is expensive I paid 104. bucks but they gave me free shipping. I have used it twice and have already reordered. Ebay is the only place I can find it. If you know anything about this stuff or where to find it for less $ let me know.

More specifically, I’m talking about the foul smell that some people can detect.
I noticed that I’m becoming paranoid when I’m wearing pheromones because I’m worried that the person/people I will meet can detect the smell. There were a couple of times that I chose not to wear anything out of “fear”. I think it is due to the fact that I already heard comments. Here are the ones I recall:

Females
- Last summer, wore 1 spray of unscented AM. I went to a Japanese festival with few friends. It was packed with people. When we were squeezing ourselves, one of my female friend was behind me and she said it smells like urine.
- Another female friend of mine is half Vietnamese (I think Asians are more sensitive to the foul smell right?), whenever we hug, I find that she ends the hugs almost right away. Also on one night, I was hugging her with another girl (say group hug) and around 2 seconds later, she turned her head to the other side to be far from my neck.
- A third female friend of mine tells me that I always smell musky but she kept insisting that she likes it and that it’s not a bad thing. She even said that the scent stays in her cloths/coat whenever she sees me (we sometimes cuddle and/or have long hugs)
- A fourth female friend: I wearing Captain and AOA in Cold water. She was sitting on my right at the restaurant but I felt she was trying to be as far as she can. Another night, we were in the car with my male friend. I made them smell AM in Black Spice by telling them I’d like their opinion about my cologne. My male friend said it smells really good. As for her, she simply smiled and said yea. Not sure if the smile was due to the bottle (reading Alpha Maschio) or because she could smell urine/sweat but didn’t want to say anything about it.

Males:
- I also wrote the story on my journal of a male friend who was in my car. As soon as I opened my window, he said it smelled like cat urine (I was wearing Bliss with a cover). And few hours later, I caught him looking at his friend, who was sitting in the back, with a disgusted face.
- Another male friend, who never said anything. However, as soon as I sit next to him at the coffee shop, I find him wiggling his nose with his index finger at the beginning. Happened twice. That same friend though, I made him smell AM Black Spice too. But I was specific with him. I asked him if it smells like urine or like regular cologne. He said like a cologne but that, he doesn't like it and he wouldn’t wear it.

I have 3 more examples but you got the point. So when I experience similar examples, I realize that I’d rather not wear pheromones than people thinking that I always smell sweat/urine. What are your thoughts about this? Do you share the same concern?

Didn't see this before. Sorry for the late response. I tend to get negative reactions with a heavy Androsterone product. People will say, "you have a cat". My wife says I stink when I wear heavy Androsterone.

She just says that my scent is strong and kind of musty, but in a good way when I wear Androstenone heavy blends.

The only answers I've found are heavy covers and experiment with blends that don't smell too strong. The LAL products, for instance, never get me negative smell comments.

Just throwing it out there. Could it be a chance of urine smell u attracted from the wash room?

When u experienced this before, did u by any chance, go to the wash room before. Don't get me wrong, I ain't trying to be offensive here. Am just trying to understand something.

Cos to me, if I use a public wash room anywhere, I get this weird bad urine sweaty smell on me, that's why I like to carry some sorta cologne bottle on me, when that happens, I spray a bit of that cologne.

Dr C might be onto something. It is possible.

Also, over the years I've dated a few girls that had what I think of as a 'Super Sniffer.' They were extremely sensitive to scents, including synthetic pheromones. One girl in particular was raised on a farm with livestock and anytime I'd wear anything with a strong androstenone signature, she would really turn up her nose. I had to use a strong cover scent to mask it. That was how I discovered Dirty English cologne. Prior to its reformulation, it did a fantastic job of covering the phero odor. Still, there were times she'd complain about smelling either urine or body odor. Just about any time I wore synthetic pheromones she could tell. After a while I stopped wearing them around her. Then, I lost interest in her strangely enough. I always wondered if the Pheromones were also reverse imprinting on me like they were imprinting on her.

Bottom line- in my experience, some people just have that sensitive a sense of smell and are extremely difficult to hide phero use from.
