The older I get the less threatening a life sentence sounds

Yeah, I know what your saying Bella! It would be pretty embarrassing for me if I was up hooked to that machine. I would be saying to myself whatever you do.. Do not think about lady lumps! :red face: (12-13-2009 2:32 PM)mark-in-dallas Wrote: And while we're on the subject, herre's a few more: [quote='mark-in-dallas' pid='4058' dateline='1260732755'] Brain Computer Interface - https://www.lce.hut.fi/research/css/bci/
I, actually entertain the thought purchasing something like this for myself. (12-13-2009 2:32 PM)mark-in-dallas Wrote: Intel: Chips in brains will control computers by 2020 - https://www.computerworld.com/s/article/...rs_by_2020
Whoa, That sounds like the burgeoning of Technopathy! ( https://theories.activatingevolution.org..._%28new%29 ) Which sounds awesome, but such a pronounce tether between the human brain and the computer raises the thought in my mind of some potential risks. One that comes to view for me is computer to human viral transmission. I don't think it would be too difficult to exploit said connection with a specifically crafted computer virus. Have you heard about this, Mark? https://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/projectnatal/ (12-13-2009 2:32 PM)mark-in-dallas Wrote: And even more scary: Direct Brain-to-Game Interface Worries Scientists - https://www.wired.com/medtech/health/new.../bci_games
That tech should to be put thru some stringent human trials (something similar to drug trials maybe?) to ascertain the potential harms, before even considering making it available for public purchase.
