I have a number of singles which are 2-3 years old and have been stored in a fairly hot environment for part of that time. I'm trying to figure out which molecules are salvagable, which will have changed and how. Here are some thoughts;

1. Nols. A/B Androstenol oxidizes to Androstenone. Others have said something similar. Can Androstenone be converted back to an alcohol via acid?

2. DHEAS and other sulfated mones probably lose their sulfate group. DHEAS -> DHEA.

3. Would androstAnone reduce to androstenone?

4. Would androstadienone hold up? If it converted, what would it convert to. I've certainly gotten some good results from my old androstadienone, so it hasn't all converted to something else. But I haven't used any fresh stuff recently, so I don't have the best basis for comparison.

All of my stuff is dissolved in alcohol. Chris's silicone based stuff (which also has some quantity of ethyl acohol in it) started causing tension a long time ago. But whether that's because of conversion or evaporation is hard to say.


Avoiding skin contact and using only materials sterilized with UV light don't seem to change the rsesults.
