What are some of the better ways to increase physical endurance? I mean I assume it involves exercise, but what kind? Interval training? I'm also open to supplements that might help.

This isn't an age related thing, I'm not yet 30 and I've had this problem for what feels like as long as I can remember. Just tired of it, because it's a little embarrassing at times. If it's just crap lung capacity I'm not sure how much I can really do (on that note I don't smoke, either).

I've had someone recommend getting my testosterone levels checked as well?
Google Tabata workout...
I have been there due to depression (=lying around all the time). Get your daily workout. I switched between intervall sprinting on one day and strength training the next. Incredible how fast the body adapts. First day sprint (just one sprint!) kicked me out of my shoes. After one week extremly better, after one month you wont even remember the out of breath time. Good luck my friend.
Very good, solid exercise suggestions above and to take it a step further combine your exercises with supplementing with 1k-3k mg of Glutamine daily.
Well the thing is, it's not like I've never spent any time at the gym. There was a period (not too far back) of about two years where I went six days a week. I was a little better off than I am now, but not much, and I can only afford (time wise) to go like half that often at the moment. Just trying to get an idea what the best ways are to be efficient about it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look up tabata. Just curious, is glutamine effective at all in capsule form or is it one of those things you should really buy in powder?
Google: Nose only breathing.

Only thing which gives unlimited breath. Even during interval exercise. Takes time to learn. After a year I've got it down.
Breathing correctly can make a big difference. For awhile I always would get out of breath when playing sports really quickly. I didn't understand since I'd be playing with people who are less active and in worse shape than me, and they'd be fine. Once I started focusing on my breathing more it helped a lot.
