I'm looking to start a thread that Lists the Terms that Sounded Cliche' before but may now sound like verbal indications of the subconcious mind making choices that the conscious mind does not readily understand, and in turn the conscious mind blurts out these sayings that we all have heard, either personally or in others stories.

These sub-conscious (non-conscious) choices are where pheromones apply. If you don't notice the smell, you are not conscious of it, and if it has an effect on you, it must be at the sub-conscious or biological level (which can overlap at times).

Sometimes there are multiple levels of a relationship.
People relate/attract/repel on multiple levels all at the same time. Things you have in common, things that are different:
Race, Age, Gender, Religeon Ethnic, Veteran status, Sexual Orientation
(the things government says companies must ignore to receive Federal Government contract dollars),
as well as others as Music, Movies, Height, Weight, Hair, Eyes, Looks, Money, Money, Money, Car, House, Baggage, Voice, Job, Athleticism, Friends, Intellect, Education, Personality, Sense of Humon, Determination, Dreams, Hobbies, Abilities, Recreational Pursuits...et cetera ad nauseum

Pheromones, Histocompatibility and Haplotypes are real levels that we can relate/attract/repel on in relationships. I added Histocompatibility and Haplotypes because they are part of the thread that my quote below is from.

(12-13-2012 7:47 PM)dexter Wrote: [ -> ]What you don't realize is that "IS" the reason, that there is sub-conscious/non-conscious drive to "MATE/MAKE BABIES/START FAMILY" and that the conscious mind can rationalize and find reasons to like and dislike people for companionship/money/looks, but there is always the other urge going on simultaneously.

Think of it like people who go on diets. The conscious/rational mind thinks "I should eat less, exercise more, and lose weight. The sub-conscious mind says "CHEESEBURGER". I loved seeing the show where they had all the past contestants from the TV Series "Biggest Loser" and most all had gained all the weight back.

So, which is stronger? Rational thought or Primal Urge?
"CHEESEBURGER" wins.

But with mones and Haplotypes, you should equate this with that "Spark", "Chemistry", "That Feeling". Sometimes you just like somebody and you're not sure why. Some of that has something to do with these chemical signals. Do you ever just get "that feeling"? Some of it can be attributed to this.

So good looks/money/commonality all have roles in relationships, but don't think that there isn't the unseen but smelled aspect that taints your thoughts for better or worse in almost all cases. Where your girl smells another guy and all of a sudden you are single again, and she can't explain it either.

It is best explained by the phrases where the conscious mind tries to explain the actions that are a result of the sub-conscious mind being in control:
"It's not you, it's me."
"We just grew apart."
"We should see other people."
"I think of you as a good friend."

et cetera...
What these phrases mean is, I found a better smelling person, and I can't smell it because it is unconscious, but it just registers with me a primal level, so can you get your stuff out of my house/apartment.
Please post phrases, cliches', terms
and such that sound like they are the conscious mind trying to make an excuse and explain in rational reasoning of the conscious mind something that the unconscious mind is controlling. Sometimes looking at both sides shows how the sub-conscious is in control of what's going on and the conscious mind is just making excuses to explain what is going on while not understanding why these choices and actions are happening.
Also post what you think are the sub-conscious and conscious sides that are unseen and motivating the phrases.

I agree, I always felt that they were trying to describe what is unknowingly pheromones or also your own energy or aura.

The more experience I have with pheromones , the more I agree. I think the subconscious pheromonal chemical attraction is is equal to the visual attraction level ( I happen to be a visual person ) , the rest is conscious human decency/empathy/ behaviour .

That's what happened to me....er.. her.... Bomb

This thread is a great idea and I'll try to thinks of something to add.
Yeah.... sometimes the people that usually enjoy my company in my clean state. Then there are some days where they treat me like v.i.p, repell me, cant get enough of me and etc.
i grew into that tip of 'spray it and act like you forgot you had it on' So there were intereactions that either worked with me or against me. Some of the times i get confused and lose my own sense of self identity due to the drastic changes i've experienced with people who i knew.

Makes me think... 'is it me? or was it them? was it the pheromones or all together?'
So what would be an interpretation of the phrase:
"Not tonight, I have a Headache."
Any ladies open to describe this for the guys, any guys have a definitive answer so the ladies can know what they really meant when they said it?[Image: 51frf3VXNhL.jpg]
