The formal literature supporting beta antrostenol's pheromonal activity is weak and it does not activate the GABA receptor, as alpha androstenol does. However it is very widely recognized within the pheromone community to increase the "depth" of conversation. It tends to cause people to be more honest, even to the point of discourtesy and to dwell slightly more on depressing topics.
