Do you know the temp. of your cool room? It's fall in my geographical region, but we're still getting intermittent 70+ (F)days. Also this may seem redundant to ask, but I like to make things as simple as possible so that I can easily understand them, will the breasts drip at all? I'm considering hanging in laundry room, but I have wood laminate in there & I'd hate to risk it.

@Beccah:

I dont know the exact temp. of the room. I dont have a thermometer, a hygrometer(measure relative humidity) nor a scale. But my guess is about 15-18 degree. The humidity I can check online, which fluctuate from about 45-66%.

The author said this is simple so basically all u need to do is hang it where its cool and dark.

Also I dont think it drips at all :-s the moisture, most of it, was drawn overnight when buried in salt. If anything just put a bowl or plate underneath.

Thanks OMG. 15-18 degrees is Celsius, right? So that's about 47-50 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ah yeah hahahaha sorry all my life i've been using metric ==" Its more like 18-19 i guess Big Grin But thats fine with this Duck Prosciutto. Other types of cured meat and cured sausages will require stricter environment.

You can just chuck it in the fridge. Put a bowl of salty water in there for the moisture. Done Wink

Gotcha, thanks! It's not hard to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, as long as one can do 1st grade math....

Oh and here this final year Engineering student dont even know how to convert LOL. Google: 15 C in F ^__^

@Beccah: I just checked my stuff, both of them. The bottom of them are certainly very dry. No moisture can be felt. No worries about dripping.

Btw, dont put it in your laundry, the smell will affect the duck (my guess).

Kk, thank you much.
Converting C to F add degrees C + 32. 32 degrees is the freezing point in Fahrenheit.

Isnt it F = C*9/5 + 32

Idk, I just figured a simple conversion. If C's freeze point is zero & F's freeze point is 32, then I just figured adding 32 to whatever degree Celsius would give me the temp. Fahrenheit.
ETA: Aww crap! K, I'm not ready to switch to the metric system yet, but the Fahrenheit system makes no sense. I would totally be willing to switch to Celsius.
