Heres one that is pure white Ambergris oil from the same guy. They have smaller samples too. I might try this option....
So is this how one would make their own high end scents? Is a blend for all four better than just one? Sounds like the Civet isn't prefect...
How does one find other high end premade products like creed? None of the websites I went to allowed to filter high to low and Creed seems to be 10x as pricey as the expensive colognes. Are they the Ferrari? or the Mclaren ?
From what i know about Creed is that alot of their ingredients are naturally sourced hence the hefty price tag. I heard they use ambergris as there base for most of their fragrances.
I've also started pairing Creed fragrances with different mones.
I notice if i wear Aventus or Green Irish Tweed with AlphaMixes like A314,AT,IG goes really well with the mone signature i'm putting off. As the smells are also very masculine.
I like pairing lighter mixes like Core + NA, Taboo,Ammo, Xist, Androstadienone with Imperial Millesime. As it is a lighter fragrance and gives off a more stud vibe then serious manly vibe.
My Collection:
LAL:AV, NA, BW, T-150, A1,DP,Hypnotica,Wolf ; Samples: Primitive,Lucky 7 Royal
AD: L2K V1
PT: AT, GOA; Samples: Captain, Auraental
PherXS: Xist, Taboo,Ascend; Samples:Bliss,Api, SOB, Vibe, Celebrity
Apex: Core; Samples: 3x
Andriotics: A314rev23, IG, IO, IH, IS, AMMO2x

I read that Creed Aventus has ambergris in it today.
I'm wondering if its better to blend my own or buy some Creed? I'm kinda allergic to most brand name scents. Its the main reason I want to blend my own. I haven't worn one in years. I would never walk in front of that store in the mall. The only mones I bought scented were from AD and wasn't an option to buy with out.
I'm gonna head into NM or this story in my city that was listed on their web site and sniff around.

@SuperJoy
Ambergris, even in low doses, acts as a base to many high-end fragrances, enhancing the overall mix. This is why many of the Creed fragrances cost as much as they do. Still, if you aren't buying direct, you can easily find most Creed fragrances for $100-120 per 4.2oz. Not all of these vendors are trustworthy, but many are.
As for other high-end lines? (I assume this is what you're asking.) The Private Selection lines from Chanel, Hermes, and Dior are all solid. Serge Lutens, Tauer, MFK, The Different Company, Amouage, and Le Labo are other options. My favorites, however, have to be Frederic Malle and MDCI. That should give you plenty to work with. As always, sample first. Few fragrances are safe blind buys.
