Like aromachemicals, you'll never come close to matching the effects of natural pheromones - not to say that they're better, but this isn't something you'll be able to replicate with any amount of synthetics. The two are best used together.

Castoreum experiments - anyone had interesting results from Castoreum solo?

I've ordered a few samples from different providers and will report back. My initial impression is that this smells plastic like - maybe benzoin - hospital smell. Seems to promote co-operation but can irritate me in high doses. On the non-animal front, I've been impressed with copal lately.

Yes, this is an interesting thread. I just looked into it and found a White Ambergris and Civet, 3ml from LaRoche for $62, not bad if it's legit. I might pull the trigger on that one and see what it does alone and in combos. Bad Wolf + LaRoche, that could be insane. Then again, we have animal musks in Chamber 36 for example at $33 for a 5ml bottle.

Update:

Just ordered Pheromone-4 l'Ultime Narcisse by LaRoche, 10ml spray for $65. It has deer musk, civet, ambergris and castoreum in it. I initially wanted the 3ml oil, but it was over double the price and dosing could be hard. It'll be easier to dose with sprays. I trust they've got the ratios right. Narcisse is a reference to Narcissus.

From the product description:

"Narcissus (Greek: Νάρκισσος or Narkissos) is according to the beliefs of Greek mythology the son of Cephissus and the nymph Liriope. He was a hunter from Thespiae in Boeotia and though famous for his handsome appearance, despised the ones who loved him. Nemesis, "the dispenser of dues", who balanced the excess of good fortune, lured him to a pool of water. Upon seeing himself, he fell in love with his own reflection, not realizing its lifelessness. Unable to leave this found beauty, he stared at his own image until he died. His name became the origin of the term ‘Narcissism’, which is a fixation with oneself and one's physical appearance. It is often suggested, that the name of the Narcissus flower (Greek: νάρκισσος) originated from the myth of this youth. Due to Narcissus' obsession, he drowned and from this spot, the flower sprang forth. The narcissus flowers are still seen bending over river banks to this day - just as the young man leaned over his own reflection - their intoxicating fragrance radiating in the air, mesmerizing and hypnotic."

And this seems to be their sales pitch:

"Pheromone-4 l’Ultime Narcisse is profoundly the essence that captivates you, for it’s all about you - fixating, mesmerizing, spurning images of positive reflections and deep contemplative thoughts. You may wear this essential essence with pride knowing there is nothing like it, and nothing like you, have no disdain for those who cannot understand, wear it with pride, throw caution to the wind, for it’s only the aura of beauty personified. In confidence dare to be different, dare to be you."

I'll post my findings is this thread.

I buy ambergris al oud oil from them (LaRoche). Of course it’s got oud as well so it’s not just ambergris and to be honest I’m not experienced enough to know what they’re like individually. But the scent is strangely addictive and ‘sweet’, and quite different to Chamber 36 and Houdini which I also have. I use a small amount in my armpits instead of deodorant. It does make what would otherwise smell like chemical warfare into something more musky/earthy.

The most ideal situation would be to get all those 4 ingredients separately, but that would be more expensive and time consuming. I hope the good people at LaRoche know what they're doing by adding all in the same product. Based on the reviews, it's leaning that way. Chamber 36 has ambergris in it. I'll compare it to that. I also ran a combo of Bad Wolf and Chamber 36 which I suspect could be revolutionary. Only tested on one occasion, but got an over the top hit in a bar where a mid 30's woman approached me in the smoking section and was pleading with me for at least an hour to join her and her girlfriend to an afterparty. I wasn't really attracted to her though and tried to hook one of my friends up with her.

I'll do solo testing with l'Ultime Narcisse first and then try it in combos with Bad Wolf, Voodoo and Copulins X to see what happens.

Updating this thread.

I got my l'Ultime Narcisse a few months ago, but only got around to testing it recently. I'm very satisfied with the customer service from Agarscents. I got 2 small samples included and even a full 3ml bottle of Egyptian Musk for free. The l'Ultime Narcisse bottle looks very classy.

Scent: Luxurious, exquisite, masculine and addictive. It smells better than most, if not all commercial colognes in my opinion. I keep smelling my own wrists all the time since using this. It lasts long, I can still smell the scent after 12 hours or so. I've asked several women and the default reaction is "mmmm, that smells really good".

Self effects: I think I notice a calm and pleasant feeling build up over time. It's subtle, but it's there. I think I also get a slight boost in confidence. It's a natural feeling. I think it has some beautification as well.

Effects on others: Nothing over the top or blatant. This is different from synthetics. Maybe it's in my head, but it seems that women are more interested in hanging around and are more flirty compared to when I use nothing. It could be the scent. It could be a subtle and natural reaction to the musks. It could be a reaction to my self effects and overall contentment.

I haven't used it with any other products yet because I wanted to see what it did solo. I also didn't want to ruin the scent which is why I will probably experiment with unscented products like Nude Alpha as an example.

Bottom line. I'm satisfied with this product. I would buy again based on the scent alone.
