The first one I made looked like this.

Basically you slide the cone over the glans, roll whatever skin you have forward, then wrap some tape LIGHTLY on the skin to keep it over the cone.
This type works wonderfully for applying tension with a band (they actually sell something like suspenders for these)
the main drawbacks are
rigid form prone to pinching (on the tank of a motorcycle)
tape residue
might cause pain with erection
not sex ready since it takes a minute to get off, tape residue, etc
