I was wondering the same as I have read through other reviews of the product and while there is some overarching theme there definitely seems to be some subtle differences.
Some of it may just be my physical attributes. I'm not sure about Snoopy or some of the other member's reviews I have read but I am a 225 pound 32 year old, 6 foot 2 inch darker skinned Caucasian (grandparents were from Italy) with large sideburns. I work out often and while I don't play any sports I still have what would be considered a muscular build.
All that was to say that it isn't uncommon for lots of scents to come off as intimidating on my end if I don't make a conscious effort to tone it down and play friendly with people.
As far as AD goes, though, I feel like they sold 50 bottles of product that they didn't have in order to finance a larger order that they couldn't purchase. I'm not buying the "it shipped without a particular molecule" story that they are giving people now.
At this point I think they just needed a down payment on a larger order and the easiest way to do that was to sell 50 bottles that they didn't have.

That would seem to conflict with my Androstenone theory, so I think we can throw that out the window, and given that there isn't much of an age difference there, it's doubtful Androsterone is the culprit either.
The Androstadienone hypothesis is still a strong possibility, as Androstadienone can come off as overly-serious without a certain level of steering. Do you think it's strictly intimidation (from Androsterone and Androstenone) that's causing you to come off as more serious, or do you think there could be another factor to this?
The scent could be a possibility. If you're referring to PT's cover scents and not some other scent you use, which one are you using for Captain? And for AT? If Captain ends up being something you can use in the long run, which seems like a good possibility at this point, perhaps you could buy another bottle in the scent you chose for AT. If that eliminates the intimidation factor, then we can be sure the scent is to blame here.
I felt the same way with Androtics. It seems business isn't going as well as they'd planned, and they're once again resorting to shady business tactics in order to get ahead. If what you believe is true, Androtics may collapse much sooner than I had anticipated. With methods like those, I can't see that down payment ever getting financed, and once the community at large figures out (meaning the noobs their business is mostly based on these days), Androtics won't be around for very long.

Yes, that's a different version from what I have. I suppose it's different from XS129C as well? You'd have to ask Steve.
Many things can have aggressive self-effects without being 'alpha' in the Androsterone sense. That second bit still isn't definitive, far from a dead giveaway from what I can tell. A single test isn't enough to tell you all there is to know about a mix. Give it a few more test runs and see what you can come up with. What you may be seeing is a form of dominance, which can disguise itself as Androsterone-like respect in certain contexts. I've had similar 'hits' to what you're describing from lower doses of Androstanone, from P75, from Primitive and other Androstenone-based mixes, and others. Don't think it's just Androsterone that will appear to give you some form of respect - some mixes used outside of their intended context will "morph" their effects, taking on a different light in a more (or less) inhibited environment, especially when the target is not highly attracted to you at that time (which is not to say unattracted, mind you).
You only tested this mix once, and at work, correct? Test it in a different environment, one where "Porn Star Experience" can really live up to its name. Because of its heavy disinhibition properties, this can be a social context where "dirty talk" will be appropriate. Testing a mix of this nature at work will hardly tell you what the mix is really doing, IMO.

I thought I'd already mentioned this...
CORE. Buy it, now. That's as close to an IS replacement as you'll get. It's a more rounded mix than IS, more versatile, but if anything, it's even more combo-friendly than IS. It does what you'd expect IS to do and more. As far as I'm concerned, Instant Shine is a pointless mix nowadays.
People will recommend Bliss to you for this purpose, but they're very different mixes. Bliss is steered with Androstenone, so you'll get more of an angry, IDGAF vibe, not the almost bubbly, youthful vibrancy of straight TAA or IS. CORE is what you want.
