Mones helpful for wife with cancer?
01-19-2013 6:32 PM

Just thinking outloud here, I realize this is a shot in the dark. Wife has breast cancer and will be going thru chemo soon, I am thinking maybe something with a heavier Androstadienone signature? However I worry a bit about that as I have read it makes women more sensitive to touch, which makes me wonder if this would highlight pain or discomfort.

Something like Cohesion perhaps? Or just Androstadienone alone maybe? I am sure there are others out there, perhaps a happier mix. Something from LAID is also what I am thinking, something for her perhaps.

Anyone else been in a similar situation?

HI Nicktoons,

I'm sorry to hear about your wife.

I'd be REALLY careful with mones and cancer. Especially if the cancer is androgen or estrogen dependent. Most sellers aren't going to tell you all the ingredients in a mix.
Also, most mones are steroids and have an immunomodulatory impact if absorbed through the skin. It's debatable what kind of impact micgrogram quantities will have, but I'd err on the side of caution. A lot of people have gotten joint stiffness from topical applications. At the very least, keep the stuff off any skin.

It's probably better to err on the side of caution and stay away from the stuff while she's sick and for some time afterwards. But ultimately, it's your call. If you really want to go forward, talk to your doctor (I'm not one.) Give him the ingredient list for one of these products. (You can let him know that they're microgram quantities, that may make a difference in his opinion.)

I'm GUESSING he'll make a funny face and tell you to err on the side of caution.

But yes, androstadienone will increase sensitivity to pain. It will also boost cortisol, which will boost blood sugar. If she has cancer, she needs to keep her blood sugar LOW.

I agree, don't do it. It's also easier to OD when your system is taxed. Best of luck to you both.

Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated. Sure glad to have this forum for feedback such as this. I think for both our sakes the mones are staying off during this time.

Another question if I may, can I still wear them at work? I always shower first thing when I get home and often at work(due to the nature of my job) before I come home.

I think that should be fine.

Yeah man. Love is the best medicine, and we can tell you are giving her a steady supply of that. Also keep her thoughts positive, in the line of she is getting healthier every day rather than she is "fighting" cancer. The same body that caused it can solve it too. :-)

Thanks for sharing yourself with us.

For what it's worth, I have some suspicion (and others have voiced the same) that small amounts of this stuff offgasses even if the bottle is closed, if it gets warm. Just a thought, for your wife and your mones. ;-)

My plan for now is just leave my stuff at work. We all have lockers and all tend to keep personal stuff there anyway. It's pretty small and tight knit group of folks so no worries there.
