I mixed 200mcg DHEAS with 20mcg androstadienone and the previously clear solution (several drops worth) instantly clouded up. I'm worried that DHEAS is reacting with something, esp given how reactive it is. I don't see how it would react with the androstadienone. Could it be some residue in the bottle? Is there an unacceptable pH range for DHEAS? What's going on?

I've had a similar thing happen before (though maybe the cause was different.) I can't remember if DHEAS was involved then as well. I think it was other stuff like DHEA and neno, hand made from supplements and originally clear. The mix became cloudy over several months. The solutions were concentrated (in ~ the 3mg/ml range if my memory serves) but I didn't think that was enough to get a precipitate.

I'm not sure if these are the same problem.

Does anyone have an idea what's going on?

I dont think its the mones but the substances containing them.

You may very well be right, but I'm still trying to figure out what's going on.

Chris told me many moons ago if mixing different brand names, some will go cloudy due to the base they are in. Cant remember which ones though.

If you mix anything in a silicone base, with anything in an alcohol base, you can get cloudiness because most alcohol bases have a percentage of water in them, and silicone will not tolerate any water without specific emollients to force them to blend.

It doesn't do anything bad to your pheromone mixes, you just have to remember to shake them before use, just like salad dressing. No worries.
