Preservatives for singles?

Hey,

as we know, some mones break down to none over time. That can result in additional none which we maybe don't want.
Would it be useful to use a preservative like Vit E for longevity of the mones? Like one drop/spray of Vit E, let it dry and then put the single molecule on top? Is this the same effect like using lotion?
And how to mix it into a selfmade mix? Which Vit E and how much?

Have a nice weekend,
V

And here I thought this thread was going to be about marmalade. sideLol

That's an interesting question, but begs other concerns such as, how would it effect the efficacy of the molecule, and would vitamin E be susceptible to the same bacterial effects that cause nol breakdown?

After reading the title again I now see what I did there Big Grin

This idea came because no one really knows to what percentage the mones are breaking down and I don't want this to ruin my mix at a certain point. Chris is using Vit E in all of his mixes, so I think it can't be that bad.

I hope someone who can answer these questions will chime in here.

Vitamin E can be used as a skin conditioner to offset some of the harsh drying effects of alcohol.

Nols break down into e.none via conversion processes on the skin surface by natural skin microbes.

Some measures can be taken to limit conversion rates if desired. Many tricks have been passed down over time from a number of sources.

Coconut based Monolaurin has been used in the past by some as a fixative, namely to slow diffusion and conversion rates. I dove into it for a little while to try and develop it some but found things I liked better. Lauricidin seems to have been the choice and that was what I used.

Near zero conversion rates and nice longevity due to the antimicrobial properties of monolaurin. However, The major drawback of using it I have found is that it bogs down the formula on multiple variables.
Works well in heat but very poorly in the cold. Difficult to peg singles concentration dosing. Lessons learned playing the game and quite a few 'wtf why isnt this working' moments when I was testing it heavy.

increased stability with molecules that convert such as nols and Androstadienone .

You have to go higher than normal with the pheromone molecule concentration, as monolaurin is a potent fixative that is kinda like glue. Keep that in mind if you are going to make a mix with it.

The lotion trick is a bit different than manipulating conversion rates. Lotion hydrates the skin so that less of the mone app is absorbed into the skin. Dry skin is parched skin. Satisfy skin thirst before an app, let it dry, then place your app on this area. You can squeeze more longevity from apps, especially from sprays.

Thank you very much for the answer thundr. I thought vendors can only post in their own section?

Can you elaborate the difference between pure coconut based monolaurin and lauricidin?

How difficult is it to get a hold on using lauricidin? Is it useful for someone who wants to try making/improving his own mixes? I often see people making their own mixes but they seem to only consist of mones and no fixatives or other things.

I already have sillage problems with some products. Is there something more useful than the sticky monolaurin?

That would be incorrect. Vendors are not allowed to discuss their products or companies in forums other than their own, but can participate and respond to posts in other forums, except in forums for other pheromone companies.
