Kinda seems the natural course of things for natural procreation: women get fertile & horny, men get attracted to women. Makes perfect sense.
Only problem is humans spend their time figuring ways to cover it for social graces, to the point of covering women up from head to toe.

It would very handy indeed to be able to consciously detect ovulating women

Reminded me of a vampire movie I saw (not twilight).. The vampires were curbing their hunger for blood when suddenly 2 young ladies walked past them and 1 of them kept sniffing. The other 2 looked at their mate and said: "You are SICK, it's menstrual blood!" to which she replied: "I am aroused by it."
