The best post at Pheromonetalk.com!... For me atleast.

I have had lots of free time today and I have been reading about pheromones here at pherotruth. When I was reading about Pregnenolone(dbot's thread). I clicked on a link expecting to see Pregnenolone reports at pherotalk, but instead I saw a post that really stood out for me.

As many of you know by now, I have been reading about pheromones for 3 years and mostly just reports. I feel that this post, By Tacitus tops all of them. Thanks dbot for bringing it to my attention!

Quote:everybody make the initial mistake of assuming that a chemical trigger equals a complex behavioral-attitudinal response. What I have come to believe is that, with experience, there is a kind of dialectical relationship between pheromone and phero-oid substances, behavioral learning, and behavioral responses.... the proper use of Pheromones allows some undeveloped possibilities in my behavioral repertoire to become more fleshed out with practice.... and ultimately my "personality" (i.e. behavioral skill set) becomes richer and more complex over time because it is receiving a more varied behavioral diet, there are more inputs to my neural net that I may respond to. I think there is a HUGE difference between someone who takes a purely passive stance, i.e. put on some liquid and hope the chicks come flocking, that's the sessile option A, or a second individual who actively uses the opportunity to explore new behavioral opportunities, option B, and then someone who has a monomania about trying to hook up and takes seduction classes, organizes his life around trying to find more sex, more hedonism, the narrowly defined option C.

The option A practitioner has allowed himself to become over defined early in life and may have difficulty in general thinking outside of the box. He's using pheromones to lure (hopefully) interesting creatures inside the box, his worldview. The fascinating creatures that fly in may just as easily fly back out if there's nothing there to sustain their long term interest.... because if they have a brain they'll soon learn that Mr. A's problem is that he can't see the box he's living in, and getting him to see that box is a LOT of work...

The option B practitioner has a better awareness of his box, after all everybody has one, but the critical difference is that he might be interested in walking out of his box and stepping into someone else's for a while. Pheromones seem to be good for that. Under the best circumstances, with the right formulation, you can almost subliminally find yourself entering into another's "reality system" for a while, a sort of deep empathetic (not NECESSARILY sympathetic!.... and man does it pay to know the difference) identification with the other person.... a holistic Getting It... and sometimes this can happen with striking rapidity... aha! so this is who you are ! Of course you will drift back to your own home space, but you will come back deepened and enriched from that contact... and sometimes, yes, that is profoundly erotic, sometimes it is just mind opening, and sometimes you are shocked to discover what tiny closets some people spend their mental lives in.... so be warned, you can be in one of these wonderful empathy states and experience the suffocating claustrophobia of some minds as well... like, WOW ! That person hangs out THERE !!??? ALL THE DAMN TIME???

There there is option C, the Playa, the Mack... who, sure, in certain environments, with certain personality types, will be getting over, but at the end of the day Mr. Mack lives for..... ego gratification... or he's good at sliding by sweet talking some freebees for himself, fundamentally though he's a lonely dude who can't figure out that no matter how good he is, something is always missing... pheromones will have an interesting, although not entirely salutary effect on Mr. C... because initially he'll be more effective, he may even find himself unexpectedly humanized, vulnerable, and, well.... real, and this may well scare the pants off of him, even if it is his best potential self, the one he's spent a lifetime neglecting, so he might wise up and start working on his inner nature and start morphing into a Mr. B, or he might gloss it up more, work out harder, consider cosmetic surgery, and wonder about that strange feeling in the pit of his stomach.

For my time and money, option B is your best deal, when you're thinking in terms of real growth and your coming from a position of deep curiosity about other people

Tacitus passed away couple of months ago(to my understanding) and I pray to god that he may rest his soul. Really made my eyes open up on how true this really is.

I have no idea why this post didn't receive much attention there, at Androtics. I mean most of the time, posts with no quality at all are receiving "top honors" because they praise one of their products in a creative way while the best of them(for me), if it wasn't for dbot linking it, I wouldn't have found at all.

All reps and thanks(if there are any) should go to dbot for the link.

Thanks

SS

Tacitus wrote a lot of gems. Some months back I searched his username and just read through, oldest to newest. Definitely worth doing.

Wow... This is truly profound. But I feel that a "Mr.C" perspective has it's strong points... but I understand what he was getting at. He basically summed up the whole point of mones in the first place, and shame on some of these pheromone companies for cashing in on Mr.C

Truth be told, I'm kind of a Mr.C(not so much in the playa sense) but that it's partially due to the environment I'm in. The people who work out regularly, dress nicely, and have A typical personalities, climb the social ladder and the more seductive men attract more women in the general sense, while other categories of men become invisible... I believe that other people (some not all) react to the environment itself and not so much out of personal wants/needs, besides that of self-preservation of course.

Human...To a fault.
