What do you tell people when they ask what cologne you are wearing? Obviously you dont want them to know you are wearing pheromones.

I own Acqua Di Gio and Hollister Jake but the smell of Ammo and the neroli from the Putatives are quite different. I would like to come up with a simple answer to people without flat out lying.

A blend of essential oils. Sometimes I wear just the oils and sometimes I add them to a commercial fragrance. Gives me a unique smell based on what fits my body chemistry.

If wearing Ammo tell them what it's modeled after, Green Irish Tweed.

Also Ammo's FF21 scent is the product that I've gotten most compliments on cover scent out of my relatively small arsenal.

"Just my sweat" is what I jokingly say...lol...

It works very well. it has worked well for me a lot of times. In fact, it is one of my standard answers whenever the question is asked. Elicited laughs and opened them up to lengthier and enjoyable convos. It all depends on how you deliver that line. It should come across as a joke. Of course, later you could tell them the name of the cover that you're using, or invent a cologne name. I just take the questin as an opportunity to show them that i have a sense of humor, and which has always yielded positive results.

I tell them it's from the blue bottle on the counter of my bathroom.

If they persist and the one asking is a woman, I've shrugged my shoulders, tell them I can text them the name later if they'd like, but I think it's one made with special ingredients like beaver testicles. Quickly followed by "do you like" and offering up my neck to them for a closer sniff. Hilarity usually ensues.

Women don't soon forget a guy who says "beaver testicles" to them, especially a guy who's wearing good mones.

This is right along my path of humor, especially with a good social mix. I'll have to add that one to my rotation as well, thanks!

Still meaning to try some more scents, but AD's Akuto my favourite so far and by far the most comments. The flip side is that although they use the same scent in MX297 as A314, the smell is night and day different in many respects, guessing the oil is a factor. Akuto in A314 is nothing special, but in MX297 it's amazing and comments galore, whereas never a comment either positive or negative on A314.

Lots of comments by women on their vanilla-pineapple, but it smells too chemically for my liking. Also lots of good comments on their chocolatini.

I think their Ammo scent (FF21, Creed Irish Tweed) must react with my skin as I only get negatives from that one. World Edition wasn't bad, kinda like Steve's FXS and I'd say the better of the two personally as FXS had a note that really put me off in it.

Steve's Sultan's Oud also nice, similar to Akuto, but the dry down is mainly baby powder after about 3 hours and hangs on for a good 10 hours, if only the initial notes held longer. His pepper-nutmeg is amazing, but that stuff lasts like 90 minutes, two hours tops.

I want to try Wolf as I hear nothing but great stuff on that.
