My sister was a victim of domestic abuse. Her boyfriend used to beat the shit out of her. Of course, she didn't tell anyone for years because of the shame associated with it.

My current employer is a woman that had an abusive husband. He ended up burning her house and all the animals inside.

My last employer's wife was a victim of abuse. Her children suffered as well, mentally and emotionally. Always choosing the wrong man.

The last intern we had, was a victim of sexual abuse by her mother's boyfriend. She still suffers today.

Previous intern is currently in an abusive relationship with a heroine addict.

My last girlfriend was married to an abusive husband. She felt worthless with no self esteem.

My best friend, a man, was a victim of child molestation; by women and men. He turned to drugs and alcohol to dull the pain.

Sexual and domestic abuse is an epidemic that remains in the shadows, and I plan on shining a bright light on it.

When someone calls bullshit on the truth, well, I'm not going to take it lightly.
