To answer the latest questions, I'm told that the molecule analysis would probably run between $150 - $200 per molecule analyzed, but to hold off on actually commiting to anything for right now, so that pricing and lab availability could be verified.

As to ladies being able to participate, off course you could. It's just a matter of garnering enough interest, and with these typ of programs I think we could.

Completely reasonable IMO.

By the way, I'm against Jaycee's money making opportunity idea, as that's not what PheroTruth is about. But, I would be for participating members being able to get the analyzed molecules at cost or at least at a very reduced cost, because someone would have to purchase and distribute them.

However, if non contributing members are going to pay more, I'd like to see the profits going back into the project to fund additional analysis or other agreed upon ojects.

I would REALLY like to see something come together for putative analysis. The amount of money we all could save on the P's we all love at AD by getting them analized would make the investment worth it. I am definetly on board. Im tired of overpaying. I really thought it would be more expensive to identify molecules! $150-$200 is not bad.. if we had 5-10 people wanting to know what P74 was, for example, that's only $15-$40 each.

Then we could chip in another $20-50 bucks a piece probably to buy enough of the stuff to last us quite a while.

You know, now that I think about it, I believe it was Jasmine that gave me the idea that lab testing to identify molecules costed a couple grand a pop. I pretty much don't believe anything she or Michael Harris have ever said about anything.

Just give me some time to work on this guys.

The concept is pretty simple, steraloids has an index of information on every compound they sell, including molecular weights and spectrographs. Whatever is in the androtics putatives is something steraloids has on record.

So they can test the samples by GC/MS, or NMR - which will give them a number, molecular weight for instance. They then look at their index of compounds with that molecular weight, and boom, you've identified the compound.

if it's an isomer which has an identical Molecular weight, they can examine it under plane polarized light to see which way it rotates, and hence whether it's the alpha or beta isomer.

Even if for some reason this doesn't go through me, I want this to be public information so anyone can send in a putative in to steraloids for analysis using the above method. Just get in touch with Trevor, their research chemist - tell him Chris from paradox sent you.
